Climate Culture Building (CCB)
Climate- and culture-oriented construction in building physics
Great architecture is usually the result of a combination of tradition and innovation. Many of today's new buildings have a high standard in terms of building physics, but climate and culture-specific requirements of the respective region are often not properly taken into account. In order to be able to better consider climatic and cultural aspects of the individual regions in the planning process of new buildings and in the modernisation of existing buildings, an analysis of the regionally dependent parameters is necessary.
The term building culture aims at the general well-being of the users of the building and the community in which the building is located. This includes both the perceived aesthetics and functionality as well as the materials used. By considering the cultural habits of the users, a more practical energetic and climatic function of the building should be made possible.
