Research Interests

• Landslides: Recording (hazard mapping), monitoring (development of early warning systems), analysis (modeling and simulation), risk management & hazard zoning

• Dealing with natural hazards: Risk management & early warnings

• Tunneling: Performance and wearing prognosis for excavability in solid and loose rock, specifically for tunnel advances with tunnel boring machines (TBM) and roadheaders as well as for conventional drilling & blasting

• Geotechnical and petrographic characterization of unconsolidated and solid rocks by means of laboratory tests
