72 cities were presented in the poster exhibition of the City Indicator Project (module „Sustainable Architecture, Urban and Landscape Planning“). Each city was researched by a team of students in the winter semesters 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22. They analyzed the current sustainability of the city and suggested improvements towards a livable future.
Besides the exhibition, there was a final event where each team presented their work as an “elevator pitch”: 2 minutes to present their city and their vision for it.
Both these presentations and the exhibition were a major success in obtaining a worldwide view of the relation between quality of life and ecological footprint. It allowed students to compare cities and gain an overview of the global state of sustainability in urban environments.
