Whenever people build, emissions are released and resources are required. Ignoring this fact contributes to the fact that the construction industry's activities are largely responsible for the climate and resource crisis. For a responsible and sustainable approach to planetary boundaries, a holistic turnaround in the building sector is essential. Against this backdrop, bringing together different disciplines and skills in the planning process is increasingly relevant in order to manage the complexity of the necessary transformation processes.
In the upcoming semester, existing knowledge will be pooled in cooperation with 12 universities and communicated in a series of talks based on the Architects4Future '10 demands for a building turnaround'. Each event will be dedicated to one demand, which will be examined and discussed together with representatives of A4F and the respective universities. There will be the opportunity to network with students from other universities in breakout sessions.
