Background
Requirements for mineral sealing materials according to RiStWag with regard to permittivity:
ψ < 1 x 10-7 1/s (~k < 10-9 m/s)
in the event of unfavourable events, such as
- desiccation
- saline penetration
- chemical changes due to cation exchange of sodium bentonite in calcium carbonate (for geosynthetic clay liner GTD)
