The Chair of Foundation Engineering and Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics and Tunneling offers the following modules in the specialisation Tunnelling in the Master's programme Civil Engineering:
Compulsory courses:
- Concrete constructions and engineering geodesy in tunnel construction
- Engineering Geology and Geotechnics in Tunneling
Elective courses:
- Laboratory exercise for soil mechanics
- Experiences from tunnel construction practice
- Advanced Constitutive Models and Finite Element Modeling in Geotechnics
- Planning in tunnel construction
In addition, the following optional subjects from other chairs of the TUM Department Civil and Environmental Engineering are assigned to the specialisation Tunnel Construction:
- Key engineering geological problems
- Rock mechanical laboratory exercise for Civil Engineers
