Investigation of the fire damage restoration of modern multi-storey timber buildings

The aim of the research project is to gain insights on the restoration of components in multi-storey timber buildings after a fire. Furthermore, it aims to establish suitable strategies and methods for the refurbishment of timber structures after a fire that are adapted to the extent of the damage. These are to be incorporated into verified timber construction-specific refurbishment concepts in order to overcome reservations on the part of building owners and property insurers. In addition, components for multi-storey timber constructions are to be developed that allow for easy refurbishment.
