Kratos Multiphysics
Kratos is designed as an Open-Source framework for the implementation of numerical methods for the solution of engineering problems. The main development of this software takes place at the Center of Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) at UPC Barcelona. It is written in C++ and is designed to allow collaborative development by large teams of researchers focusing on modularity as well as on performance. The Kratos features a "core" and "applications" approach where "standard tools" (databases, linear algebra, search structures, etc...) come as a part of the core and are available as building blocks in the development of "applications" which focus on the solution of the problems of interest. Its ultimate goal is to simplify the development of new numerical methods.
The chair of Structural Analysis is mainly involved in the development of the following applications:
- Kratos Core
- StructuralMechanicsApplication,
- ShapeOpimizationAppliaction
- MeshMovingApplication
- MappingApplication
