Travelling Direction to TUM

The Technical University of Munich is located about 1.4 km north of Hauptbahnhof München (Munich Central Station). It takes about 20 minutes to walk from here to TUM following Luisenstraße (Luisen Street). 

 

From the airport to Hauptbahnhof München (Munich Central Station):

Take the S-Bahn S1 towards Ostbahnhof (Ost Station) and get off at Hauptbahnhof München or take the S-Bahn S8 towards Herrsching and get off at Hauptbahnhof München. Approximate travel time is 40 minutes for both options.  

 

From Hauptbahnhof to TUM: 

Option 1: Underground Train Take the U-Bahn U2 towards Feldmoching and get off at the stop called Theresienstraße. Then walk around 300 meters east along ‘Theresienstraße’ until the first bridge filled with lecture theatres is reached. Enter the first door on the right labelled “” road east to under the first bridge auditorium. Input: door on the right; The Chair rooms are located on the 2nd floor.

Option 2: Bus Alternatively, take the bus number 100 leaving from in front of the north exit at Munich Central Station, ‘Hauptbahnhof’ and get off at the Technical University stop. Then through the archway on the gegenübeliegenden street in the courtyard of the TUM; Go in the courtyard 150 m north to the barrier. Input: door left of the barrier, 2nd floor.
