Reliability Oriented Optimization of Structural Replacement Strategies for Aircraft Structures (ROSA)
The optimization of maintenance schemes for aircraft structural parts is an essential issue in aerospace industry. Novel built-in monitoring techniques, which provide real time data on the structural integrity, can significantly reduce the maintenance costs. This project develops methodological and computational tools that will facilitate the quantification of the impact of the monitoring techniques on maintenance planning and optimization of the life-cycle costs.
