For the first time and with the help of state-of-the-art numerical modeling, it was possible to quantify the influence of hydraulically active fault zones on well productivity in context of deep geothermal energy exploration in Southern Germany. Additionally, new hydraulic data was gathered and analyzed in the greater area of Munich.
