This August Saskia had the unique chance to participate in an expedition to Zackenberg Research Station in NE Greenland in cooperation with DTU Copenhagen. The team realised a bundle of geophysical measurements to investigating two retrogressive thaw slumps right next to the station. The aim is to gain a better understanding of their long term behaviour. They also used drilling, sampling and drone flying to gain further information about the geology, the permafrost and the surrounding area.
