The Chair of Urban Water Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is offering a unique summer course on ‘Microbiomes of Engineered Water Systems’. This one week course will highlight microbial community detection and analysis in engineered water systems for professionals and postgraduate students in the fields of water and environmental engineering. The aim of the course is to provide a hands-on guideline for the state-of-the-art analysis of aquatic microbial communities. Thus, we will ask the participants to send their samples of interest in advance for a full screening of their respective microbiota with Illumina rRNA gene sequencing.
